Our History
It all began with a small idea in Tokyo back in December 2015. As a team rooted in both Indonesian and Japanese cultures, we saw the importance of bridging the language and cultural gaps between these two nations we deeply care about.
Motivated by a vision to go beyond academics, we designed an educational program that blends the strengths of Japanese and Indonesian values—integrating character development, social awareness, and emotional well-being into the learning experience.
In 2018, we brought this vision to life by founding Nakamura School. From the start, we adopted a holistic and distinctive educational approach—merging the Indonesian curriculum, international standards, and core principles of Japanese education. Our mission goes beyond academic excellence; we are committed to nurturing students who are morally grounded, culturally aware, and emotionally resilient.
That same year, we began construction of our school building. The first phase was completed just in time to welcome our pioneer students on July 9, 2018, marking the start of the 2018/2019 Academic Year. The second phase followed on July 9, 2021, and the third on November 9, 2023. We are currently preparing for the fourth phase to expand our facilities even further.
Nakamura School started with Early Childhood Education and had since grown to include Primary, Junior High, and Senior High School levels. Throughout this journey, we have nurtured both academic growth and cultural harmony—creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where Indonesian and Japanese communities thrive together.
Today, Nakamura School continues to make a meaningful contribution to the field of education. We take pride in shaping future generations who are not only knowledgeable but also rooted in strong values and global perspectives.

7. Provide development and training programs for teachers to enhance their skills, as well as offer support to improve the quality of learning outcomes.
