Home away from home
Nakamura School is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment that feels like a second home for our students at every stage of their education, building a community where students are cherished, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
In our Preschool, we take pride in our small class sizes, allowing us to cater to each child's unique needs. Our Preschool is a warm, welcoming space where children feel comfortable and valued. Starting from Kindergarten, we introduce the Japanese language, blending it with English and Indonesian to provide a comprehensive language learning experience. The annual Japanese Language Festival is a highlight, celebrating the students' progress with engaging performances and activities.
In our Primary School, we believe that strong relationships and a positive, inclusive atmosphere are key to a child's development. Our dedicated educators and staff create a community where every student feels valued and supported. We emphasize building confidence and exploring academic potential through personalized attention and care, ensuring that each child thrives academically, emotionally, and socially.
As students transition to our Secondary School, we continue to prioritize their personal growth alongside academic excellence. Our dynamic classrooms foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, preparing students for future challenges. We create a warm and respectful environment where students feel safe to explore their passions and become well-rounded individuals. Our educators are not only subject matter experts but also mentors who guide students toward becoming confident, compassionate leaders.

Manners Before Knowledge
At Nakamura School, we firmly believe that education extends beyond academic knowledge. Our philosophy emphasizes the importance of moral and ethical development, with a central focus on our principle: "Manners Before Knowledge." This approach is integral to our holistic educational framework and reflects our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
Manners Before Knowledge
Our guiding principle underscores the idea that the cultivation of good manners, respect, and ethical behavior is foundational to acquiring and applying knowledge effectively. We assert that a strong moral compass is essential for students to make wise decisions, interact harmoniously with others, and contribute positively to society.
Curriculum
Moral education is seamlessly integrated into all subjects and activities at Nakamura School. It ensures that moral values are not taught in isolation but are embedded in every aspect of learning. From classroom interactions to extracurricular activities, students are continually encouraged to reflect on ethical principles and demonstrate good manners.
Classroom Practices
In our moral classes, students engage in discussions and activities that promote understanding and application of core values such as respect, empathy, honesty, and responsibility. Through role-playing, storytelling, and real-life scenarios, students learn to navigate moral dilemmas and practice proper conduct in various situations.
Positive School Culture
Respect and kindness are highly valued in our school culture. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves while respecting others. By fostering a positive and respectful school atmosphere, we aim to build a community where moral values are deeply ingrained in our educational practices.
Collaboration With Parents
We recognize that the development of moral values is a collaborative effort involving both the school and the family. We actively engage parents in our moral education initiatives, providing resources and support to help reinforce these values at home. Regular communication with parents ensures that our approach to moral education is consistent and effective.
Long-Term Impact
By prioritizing manners alongside knowledge, we prepare our students not only to excel academically but also to become compassionate, ethical individuals. Our approach helps students develop the character and integrity needed to navigate the complexities of life, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy that will guide them throughout their lives.
